Sriti Jha Biography

Sriti Jha (born in Begusarai in Bihar)is an Indian television actress.

Sriti Jha made her television debut in Dhoom Machaao Dhoom where she played the shy and superstitious Malini Sharma who was part of the all-girl musical group in school called the Pink Band and was later cast as the lead in the romantic drama Jiya Jale as Sunaina.

On Jyoti she played the parallel lead as Jyoti's sister Sudha. At the same time she was also signed on to play the lead in the fantasy show Shaurya Aur Suhani as Princess Suhani because both shows were produced by Sphere Origins. She then played in Rakt Sambandh as main lead, a blind woman gets married under suspicious circumstances.

After Rakt Sambandh she starred in on Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava?. She then joined Balika Vadhu as parallel lead, Ganga, a rustic, illiterate young mother of a one year old son and victim of Child Marriage who runs away from her abusive husband and in-laws. In January 2014, she signed on to play the main lead, Pragya Arora, in Kumkum Bhagya where she plays an associate professor for whom family means everything.
