After watching his antics as funny cop Bajrang Pandey in FIR, Aamir Ali will play a rather serious character in his next outing. He will play a news anchor in a show for an upcoming Hindi GEC.
This will be a complete contrast to his previous character of a carefree and funny cop. Says a source associated with the show, "The show is about four to five sisters, where the protagonist joins Aamir's team. Aamir will play a shrewd news anchor, which’ll go to any extent to break news. He will be shown as a confident man, who can charm anyone." Apparently, the show is based on the novel, Those Pricey Thakur Girls by Anuja Chauhan. The cast is expected to start shooting next week.
Aamir's wife Sanjeeda Sheikh, who played protagonist Durga in Ek Hasina Thi, is enjoying her break since the show ended in December, last year. "The show, a revenge drama, revolved around a strong protagonist and thus, has created a landmark for me. So, I am definitely looking for something bigger and better now. At the moment, I am just enjoying my break. My show got over at a perfect time — it coincided with my birthday and right before the party season. So, I left for Goa with Aamir immediately after wrapping up the shoot and celebrated Christmas and New Year there. It's been a much-needed break after a year of regular shooting and hard work. I am making the most of this time by travelling; doing shows, concentrating on dancing and catching up with my friends."
