Young singers are set to captivate the nation with 'Indian Idol Junior', starting tonight. The show will have participants from varied backgrounds, trained in a variety of musical genres. The four judges of the season - Sonakshi Sinha, Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant and singer Shalmali Kholgade - have the responsibility of grooming the 13 contestants. Sonakshi, who is debuting on the TV show as a judge, says, "I'm excited to be associated with this show because it creates platform for young talent." Impressed with the quality of talent this year, Salim says, "We have never seen such enthusiasm and talent. It was difficult for us to select from the auditions of thousands of kids." Shalmali adds, "We have shortlisted around 120 children, who will finally make it to the top 13." With so many contestants, you will also find stories of inspiration, laughter, tears and determination. Vishal says, "Every child who comes for the audition is an inspirational story. They have either moved us to tears or have given us the strength to keep fulfilling their dreams in whatever little way we can." 'Indian Idol Junior' starts tonight at 8.30pm and will air every Saturday and Sunday on Sony Entertainment Television.
