From Saas Bahu to Valliant Warriors - Tv show makers seem to change their genre

Bahubali...Bajirao Mastani..seem to have influenced the TV serial makers, haven't they..??

The Indian TV serial audience have shown much interest in costume or periodic histoy drama shows of late. It's evident that the viewers have got their liking tilted more towards such shows than the usual saas-bahu drama. This has proved to boost the spirits of our Indian TV show makers to come up with more such daily soaps.

After 'Peshwa Bajirao' and 'Chandrakanta — Ek Mayavi Prem Gaatha'(fantasy fiction) we now have shows like 'Porus' and 'Prithvi Vallabh - Itihaas Bhi, Rahasya Bhi'(upcoming). Recently, star Plus also aired a show 'Aarambh: Kahaani Devsena Ki', whose story was penned down by the Bahubali fame K. V. Vijayendra Prasad. The story revolves around rivalry between Dravidians and Aryans.

'Peshwa Bajirao' by Sony Tv which was based on Maratha Peshwa Bajirao I, received a good response from the audience and the critics as well. On the other hand, 'Chandrakanta — Ek Mayavi Prem Gaatha' on Colors TV is experiencing whopping TRP. Based on the novel of the same name written by Devaki Nandan Khatri, it tells the story of Princess Chandrakanta.

Producers have possibly become very confident and seem not to hesitate in making their shows a magnum opus show. The new show "Porus' a historical-drama is based on King Porus, who ruled the Jech Doab, and his life story, especially the Battle of the Hydaspes against Emperor Alexander the Great. The show is created by Siddharth Kumar Tewary of Swastik Productions and has the highest budget of any show on Indian television, of about 500 crores.

Understanding the current interest of Indian audience, Sony Tv is gearing up with another show 'Prithvi Vallabh - Itihaas Bhi, Rahasya Bhi', starring Ashish sharma and Sonarika Bhadoria. The story follows the life journey of two kings: Prithvi Vallabh, king of Avantipur, a kind and peaceful man, and Tailap, the neighboring king, who is very cruel. The trailer has swept the viewers off their feet, the blazing war scenes, the royal costumes and awe striking VFX has no doubt pulled its huge set of audience before hand.

No wonder the entire team of all the shows have put the best efforts together to make their respective shows bloom to the fullest.
