Jodha ditches her lehenga for a gown

Jodha ditches her lehenga for a gown

Paridhi Sharma — the small screen Jodha in 'Jodha Akbar' — ditched her heavy lehenga to sport a victorian look in the show. She was seen in an an elaborate Victorian gown for the first time, which was a gift from the Queen of England. Jodha and Jalal (Rajat Tokas) also performed a romantic waltz on the show.

Talking about her all new look, Paridhi says, "I didn't believe it initially, but was elated after it was confirmed that I will be wearing a gown. It was more difficult to carry it than a lehenga because it was heavy and was clinging due to its sticky fabric. I should not blow the trumpet but everyone on the sets was spellbound seeing me in that outfit, and personally I adore classic ethnic wear but just for a single scene this change was welcome."
