Actress Jayshree Venketaramanan will appear in an all new avatar in the cinematic brilliance of acclaimed film maker Anurag Basu's Stories By Rabindranath Tagore on Epic TV.
Jayshree who has been part of shows like Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadhunga and Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, has been missing from the GEC space for a while now. But the girl is extremely happy that she has got to do various such episodics wherein she has played a range of challenging characters.
The latest happens to be one such short story wherein she essays a bubbly 1930's character in Epic TV's Stories By Rabindranath Tagore which will go on air tonight (31 August).
The story will be about two sisters who are poles apart in their attitude and outlook towards life. While the elder one, played by Shreya Narayan will be seen as the docile wife devoted to her husband, Jayshree who plays the younger sibling will be more of a bubbly and outspoken girl. The manner in which their lives move ahead and the problems they follow, and ways in which they overcome it will form the crux of this beautifully etched story.
Says Jayshree, "It has been an amazing experience working with Anurag Basu Sir. While one reads the kind of short stories that Tagore wrote years back, we tend to understand that women of that age were even more courageous, daring and smart than what they are today. I am glad that I got the opportunity to don one such character."
The story will also see Bhanu Uday and Abhishek Rawat sharing screen space along with Jayshree and Shreya.
Are you excited to watch Jayshree's new avatar? Tune into Tagore ki Kahaniya tonight (1 Sept) at 10 PM.
