Mumbai, Sep 2025: Actor Rishab Sahni, who made his Bollywood debut opposite Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the film Fighter, has now made his mark on the international stage with his second film 'Echoes of Valour'. Directed by Kolkata-born filmmaker Indira Dhar, the film was screened at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival after being screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
Inspired by the life of Shukla Bandhodhpay, the mother of an Indian Army soldier, 'Echoes of Valour' presents a heartwarming story of sacrifice, courage and love in a military family. The film stars strong actors Divya Dutta and Neeraj Kabi and Sahni has played a special role in it, which shows his craft as an actor.
Recalling the experience of working with such experienced actors, Sahni says, "Divya ji's simplicity and emotional depth and Neeraj sir's sincerity and dedication take the film to a different level. It is a matter of pride for me to be in the same frame with such strong actors."
The film first made headlines at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where filmmaker Shekhar Kapur launched it at the India Pavilion. The good response it received there paved the way for the film's Venice screening, further strengthening director Indira Dhar's growing international recognition.
For Sahni, this film is a big milestone in his career. From an action film like Fighter, he has now moved to a story-based film that is getting international recognition. With the film 'Echoes of Valor', he has made it clear that he wants to play roles that carry forward meaningful stories along with commercial success.
