The track went live today and is receiving tremendous love from fans and music lovers.
Jasmine said, "Poles is a completely new beginning for me, as if I've been reborn as an artist. It has the energy and freshness of a debut song, even though I released my first track, "Muskaan," in 2008. Those past years were a time of practice for me, and with "Poles," the real game has begun. This song marks the beginning of a new journey filled with creative excitement and discovery."
She further added, "The dance style of 'Poles' is hip hop, and I learned the hook step on set. It was a very organic and fun process. The lyrics are beautifully written by Shlok Lal, Mandy Gill, and Harjot Kaur. The concept of the music video was director Preet Singh's brilliant idea: setting it inside a prison and having me play a rebellious, carefree criminal who escapes through a tunnel but is eventually caught. This story added a lot of depth and playfulness to the project."
She added, "The video was shot in just one day, and I mastered every detail on set. Preet Singh is a genius director who led the entire project with amazing vision and precision. Honestly, I want to dance more in my videos. The hook step of 'Poles' is so catchy and fun."
Talking about the song's genre, Jasmine said, "The song's genre is 'ballet funk,' which won me over as soon as I heard the beat. This is my first Punjabi song in this genre. For this collaboration, we specially brought in Nepal's biggest producer, Fozal. The songwriting team was incredible, and their support was invaluable."
She further added, "The final mix and mastering was handled by Abhishek Khandelwal, music head at YRF, which ensured excellent sound quality. 'Poles' isn't just a song for me; it's a vibrant new chapter in my artistic journey."
On the video's unique concept, Jasmine added, "It was the director's vision to create a prison setting where I play a rebellious, carefree criminal who escapes through a tunnel but is ultimately caught. The shoot was a lot of fun; I was a good student on set and followed every little detail related to the story."
