His stirring rendition captures the devotion, divinity, and depth of emotions that lie at the core of this epic.
In this candid conversation, Javed Ali shares why singing this anthem was a spiritually enriching and unforgettable experience for him.
Sony SAB’s upcoming show Ganesh Kartikey is a mythological epic. How do you think this anthem complements the theme of the show?
This anthem really feels like the backbone of the show, it sets the mood and energy right from the beginning. It will build excitement among the audience and encourage them to watch the show. I believe the audience will connect with the song very easily.
What message does this song convey to the audience, especially keeping the theme of the show in mind?
This powerful track acts as a bridge between the audience and the divine story of Sony SAB’s Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki - Ganesh Kartikey. Its devotional tone draws viewers, while its uplifting energy inspires a sense of connection with the story. It’s designed to spark curiosity and create a feeling of reverence that resonates deeply with the audience.
When you sang this track for Sony SAB and Ganesh Kartikey, did you experience any special emotions or a sense of devotion?
This song has been beautifully composed by Adil ji and Prashant ji, with heartfelt lyrics by Anshumali Jha. The moment I started singing, I felt a wave of devotion. The lyrics and melody carry a very special divine essence and energy, making the entire experience deeply spiritual for me.
You have sung in many genres like Romantic, Sufi, and Patriotic. How is the experience of singing a devotional/mythological song different from these?
I sing across genres, as I believe all music flows from a single divine power. I’ve sung devotional songs before, and recently one of them received a lot of love, which makes me feel truly blessed. Singing for Ganesh Kartikey was a different experience because Adil-Prashant gave it a contemporary yet devotional feel which connects so well to the show. It’s grand, larger-than-life, and I felt both excited and blessed to lend my voice to it.
