Mumbai, November 2025: Sony SAB’s Ganesh Kartikey continues to take audiences on a divine journey with the sacred tales of Lord Shiva (Mohit Malik), Goddess Parvati (Shrenu Parikh), and their sons, Lord Ganesha (Ekansh Kathrotiya) and Lord Kartikey (Subhan Khan), exploring the love, purpose, and cosmic balance of this celestial family. In the recent episodes, viewers witnessed the arrival of Rishi Bhringi (Robin Das), whose unwavering devotion towards Lord Shiva led him to disregard the power of the feminine divine. To enlighten him, Lord Shiva revealed his Ardhanarishwar form, half Shiva - half Parvati, symbolising the perfect union of masculine and feminine energies.
In the coming episodes of Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki - Ganesh Kartikey, the story takes a powerful turn as Kartikey faces Surapadman - a strong asura and devotee of Lord Shiva whose pride turns him against the gods. What begins as a fierce battle soon becomes a test of faith and compassion. In the end, Kartikey defeats Surapadman but shows mercy, turning him into a peacock that becomes his loyal vaahan, a symbol of courage and transformation. The show also brings other divine tales to life, including Chandrama’s curse that changes the moon forever and the story of Karva Chauth, where Ganesha’s blessings bring love and life back together.
Shubhan Khan, playing the role of Lord Kartikey, shares, “Playing Kartikey in this track was really special because it shows that even a battle can end with compassion. The story of how the peacock becomes Kartikey’s vaahana is not just about victory, but about understanding and forgiveness, and that’s a beautiful message for all of us.”
