Navika Kotia is famous for her appearance in the daily soap Kyunki Saas Maa, Beti Bahu Hoti Hai. In an interview, she shared her excitement for the traditional occasion of Navratri. Earlier, when celebrating the festival, she used to win prizes for best dancer and said that she has a huge love for Garba. In the following line, she mentioned that she couldn’t celebrate Navratri due to the COVID lockdown. Then, she suffered from meningitis and hospitalized. Therefore, now she excitedly is waiting to celebrate the occasion like earlier.
Ideally, Navratri was celebrated everywhere according to the different cultures. Navika shared about her favorite festival and how she got prepared for it. Having extreme love for Garba makes the Navratri festival special to her. Since childhood, she has been participating in the Garba and won many prizes for her dances. She stated that she stayed active all night during Garba and danced for 9 days energetically. That’s why the occasion turned as favorite for her. Based on her statements, she seems to have been fighting with meningitis for the past 3 – 4 years. Before the disease affects her, she is eagerly awaited with full spirit to celebrate the auspicious day. But disease made her too weak and had IV drips, so she did not get the opportunity to celebrate. She believes this year will be a festive season and I expected to participate in the Garba. She also has shooting work with the drama Kyunki… Hoti Hai, but she made efforts to dance in Garba. Finally, she stated that Garba and Navratri are an interesting integral part of the celebration for Gujarati families.
